Short Bio

Steve is the founder and managing partner of The Gordon Group, where he consults on nonprofit management and criminal justice system reform. He specializes in helping nonprofit boards to achieve excellence and sustainability, programs to mature and replicate, and county jails to transform into hubs of both security and life change. Steve has authored six books over a career that has spanned 35 years in the I.T. industry, as well as agriculture innovation, nonprofit leadership, and prisoner reentry solutions. He is also a federally certified grant writer with over 20 years of experience. He is a native Texan, has lived in a variety of cities in the U.S., and has been based in Fort Worth, Texas for the last 11 years.
